Job Description:
Lord & Company, Inc. has positions available in our Manassas, VA, Durham, NC and/or Fort Mill, SC locations or New York, NY. Responsibilities include: control system engineering, application programming, perform start-up services, troubleshooting and training for industrial automation systems with a variety of communication networks. This position requires experience in PLC and HMI programming, Motorola MOSCAD Programming, RF communications, instrumentation and controls, a well-developed mechanical aptitude, good organizational skills, and excellent hands-on troubleshooting skills. Ability to interact well with customers and a strong interest in finding technical software solutions for business and process applications.  Utilize previously developed standards, designs and programs.  Travel requirements vary from occasional to frequent according to the project requirements and location.

Education requirements are a BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Systems Engineering. Other engineering disciplines or AS degree will be considered if there is proven experience. Desired experience includes 2 to 5 years programming with knowledge in: IP networks, computer and network hardware, programming languages (Basic, VB, C#, C++, Java script), database design and PLC (A-B, GE-F, Modicon), HMI (Intellution, Wonderware, RSView), SCADA programming and Motorola MOSCAD.
